Young families, teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and other essential members of our communities should have a realistic path to purchasing a home in the neighborhoods they serve.

Finally, we must address the growing influence of large hedge funds and institutional investors that use access to cheap capital to outbid Nevada families for homes. These corporations often purchase large numbers of single-family homes, reducing inventory and driving up prices. Nevada should pursue policies that level the playing field for individual homebuyers, increase transparency in large-scale property acquisitions, and discourage market manipulation that puts homeownership further out of reach. Homes should be for Nevada families first, not investment portfolios.
