HIS STORY

Meet Dr. Aury Nagy

As a physician running for Congress, people often ask me: Why are you running?

The answer is simple ... because our healthcare system is broken, and I witness the consequences every single day. For years, I’ve sat with patients who can’t afford the care they need and deserve. It’s no wonder Americans are angry. When people feel powerless and unheard, it breeds desperation. Our healthcare crisis is the defining issue of our time and I know how to fix it.

EARLY LIFE —

Dr. Aury Nagy is a true homegrown candidate, shaped by the community he now seeks to represent in Congress. Raised in Las Vegas, he grew up on local school fields, played youth soccer, and proudly graduated from Bishop Gorman High School. His deep roots in our city, combined with decades of
professional service, give him a grounded understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Nevada families today.

A Career of Compassion and Public Service —

I’m Dr. Aury Nagy, a board-certified neurosurgeon, small business owner, husband, and Republican candidate for the United States Congress.

For more than 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping others, treating thousands of patients and performing life-saving surgeries under intense pressure. That experience, built on service, discipline, and compassion, is what I’m now bringing to the fight for real change in Washington.

I left my hometown to pursue academics, earning my degree from Yale before going on to medical school. While I had opportunities to practice anywhere, I made the deliberate choice to come back home to Southern Nevada, and to Congressional District 3, because this is where I belong.

As a former partner in Nevada Brain and Spinal Care, I helped lead a comprehensive practice that delivers advanced brain and spinal care. I also understand firsthand the challenges that come with running a small business, hiring staff, and dealing with the ever-growing maze of government red tape.

I was raised with strong conservative values, faith, family, hard work, and personal responsibility. I believe in the Constitution, limited government, fiscal responsibility, and protecting the God-given rights of every American. As a physician, I’ve seen how broken our healthcare system is, and how top-down, one-size-fits-all policies hurt the very people they claim to help. I believe in empowering patients and doctors, not bureaucrats.

I’m also a firm supporter of law and order, secure borders, a strong national defense, and making sure every child has access to a quality education. I believe America’s strength comes from our families, communities, and faith, not from expanding federal power.

I live in Summerlin with my wife, Miranda. I’m active in my community, and I believe that service to others, whether in the operating room or in public office, is one of the highest callings.

As someone who’s not a career politician, I’m running for Congress to bring common-sense leadership and real-world experience to the table. I’ll fight every day to defend our values, promote opportunity and make sure the next generation inherits a nation that is strong, free, and full of promise.
